Located in the constellation Leo, three galaxies, M 65, M 66, and NGC 3628 form the so-called “Leo triplet”, the core of the M66 group of galaxies. M66 is a spiral galaxy @ 8 Mpc or 29 Mill. light-years, while M65 is at a distance of about 10 Mpc or 32 Mill. light-years and NGC 3628 at a distance of 35 Mill. light-years.
